I hope you all had a nice week -- what kept your family busy last week? My family and I drove up to the snow in East County. Since the snowfall is at record numbers we had to have some snow play ourselves
Also a big welcome to the new subscribers coming from HulaFrog - I'm glad you are here.
So let's get to it - this weekend is packed full of fun events!
With some rainy weather forecasted on this coming Friday and Saturday, here's some activities to beat the rainy day blues:
- Circus Vargas presents "Bonjour Paris" near the North County Mall
- Moonlight Youth Theatre presents "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" at the Avo Playhouse
- Mission San Luis Rey is having an Art Festival this month on March 18th and is looking for junior artists for the art competition! Entry is due by the 11th.
Springtime events - it's a blossom extravaganza:
- Kids in the Garden at Alta Vista Botanical Gardens
- Ranunculus Annual Bloom at the Flower Fields
- World of Orchids at the S.D. Botanical Gardens
- Cherry Blossom Festival at the Japanese Friendship Garden
I've seen more events for teens! These events may be of interest to your teen:
The Oceanside Library and the Mission San Luis Rey also have homework helpers for tweens and teens.
Next week is St. Patrick's Day on Friday the 17th - kids enjoy celebrating this holiday with wearing green and building a leprechaun trap. I haven't seen any organized celebrations local to Oceanside but when I do, then I'm make sure to update in the calendar and next week's email.
