Hello MacKID O'side Readers

Help, I've got a request - Please drop me a line and let me know what you and your family enjoy doing. Arts, Sports, Movies, Surfing? I want to make sure to include the of-interest activities for MacKID O'side readers. My email is mackidoceanside@macaronikid.com or you can use the contact form on the MacKID O'side website.

I hope you all had a nice week -- what kept your family busy last week? My family and I drove up to the snow in East County. Since the snowfall is at record numbers we had to have some snow play ourselves

Also a big welcome to the new subscribers coming from HulaFrog - I'm glad you are here.

So let's get to it - this weekend is packed full of fun events!

With some rainy weather forecasted on this coming Friday and Saturday, here's some activities to beat the rainy day blues:

Springtime events - it's a   blossom   extravaganza:

I've seen more events for teens! These events may be of interest to your teen:

The Oceanside Library and the Mission San Luis Rey also have homework helpers for tweens and teens.

Next week is   St. Patrick's Day    on Friday the 17th - kids enjoy celebrating this holiday with wearing green and building a leprechaun trap. I haven't seen any organized celebrations local to Oceanside but when I do, then I'm make sure to update in the calendar and next week's email.

Here's two St. Patrick's articles to prepare for the holiday hi-jinks:

Final call for Oceanside residents regarding the new park design at El Corazon and tourism impact study. Submit your opinions through the links and provide your input for the benefit of our community.

Last but not least, MainStreet Oceanside has special pricing available through Mar. 14th for its Mother's Day is Sweet event. It should be a great event and has sold out the last couple years. Get your tickets soon.

Thanks for reading and until next week!

Peace, love and macaroni, Lovedy
